Looking for a marketing co-founder

Hi,

I am currently working on an inventory management web application targeting small businesses.

There are other competitors in the same market but my idea is to try take a small market share, slowly build this application on the side until it is generating a side profit.

Please check the application and let me know if you are interested :)

The landing page is currently being redone, and the whole application still needs a lot of work but you have to start somewhere.

My skills and strength is in marketing, sales and acquisition.

If you have a SAAS and need help with marketing and building out a sales team, I would like to potentially partner up. From my experience, businesses with a great team does well.

I have webinar scripts , funnels , tracking metrics and sales scripts that I received from a colleague and he helped SAAS founders from 0 to seven figures ARR in a couple of years.

I am a general partner in a private equity fund and would like to get into saas

Let me know if you would like to chat :)

      Hey Jedi, let's chat.

I think you need to find a niche for example wood saw factories, jewelers, maybe you even know someone with a business you can cater to.

Hey DylanS, thanks for your feedback and thoughts. I have been actually thinking about this in the last couple of days and it does sound more appealing as it will help me focus and then I can scale it other businesses. I guess I was giving my self some time to try and discuss that particular idea with a potential cofounder before making the whole decision myself. I will however be giving myself a deadline in case I don't find a good match for a cofounder soon.

Hi - In the same boat, I am looking for marketing Co-founder for my product https://www.telosa.review
Have spoken to a few fractional CMOs, but what I have realized that they provide support more on the strategy front and doesn't come with the implementation mindset.
Do share your experience on the co-founder part.

Hey ntalera, looks like a cool product you have there and I like the landing page.
I have not had many discussions as of yet with potential cofounders, so far I talked to 2, one just didn't seem like a good fit based on having very different mindsets. The other one seemed to share many similarities and seemed like we can be a nice fit together. Has a lot of experience with digital marketing and is a hands on kind of guy. He seemed to like the idea and we have a follow up call next week to discuss how and if we want to proceed. I still haven't discussed detailed action steps with him, how he thinks we can sell the product and how to scale it up, but that will be part of the next call.

Hey Omar - Great.. Do you mind sharing the model on which working, like equity only, cash + equity? I have come across this question a couple of times.. but being a solo bootstrapped founder cash is not a viable option for me. You can DM me on Twitter or mail me if you do not find it appropriate to share in public. All the best with your hunt on CMO.. :)

Hey Omar F, Are you searching for somebody you're going to pay to or you want to share an eq.uity? Anyway, I've compiled an article on the topic of "How to Find a Great Marketing Co-Founder" few weeks ago. Feel free to take a look: https://spacetime.ooo/how-to-find-a-great-marketing-co-founder/

Hey Tawhid, yes I am looking for someone who would go on this journey with me and take a share of the equity. I believe having a team that is well rounded between technical knowledge and business development/marketing knowledge would be a big advantage and would make scaling and generating revenue much easier. Also, even if that specific product doesn't work and it was the reason I met a capable, same minded cofounder, I would consider that a win because we can always pivot to something else. I don't mind trying several times as long as it's with the right team.
Also thanks for sharing the article, I started reading and it is very insightful. Happy to connect on more things.

I know other inventory management SaaS companies are out there — what makes your solution unique?

    1. 1

I am trying to focus on ease of use and a lower pricing model. I am also trying to identify which niche I can focus on instead of tackling all companies that require inventories. But my thought process is that I don't want to be super unique and offer something that others don't instead I can build something similar to what is already working and just get a market share (even a small one). Happy to discuss in more detail. Also feel free to give feedback on that line of thought.

Hey man! I would like to discuss more with you. Are you on Twitter? Because I'm active in there and we can talk more about nvnto. I'd like to help.

have you talked to any of your customers? how will you get the market share? what is your strategy?

    1. 1

I have only talked with a couple of clinics owned by friends that seemed interested. I have not done any major effort so far in selling the product myself. I was hoping on working with somebody on that who is better than I am in business development.

My general thought is to be specifically targeting small businesses that don't require many convoluted features in order to keep track of their inventories, while focusing on offering a reduced price plan for them compared to other competitors.

This is in no way a solid strategy, mainly a general theory. I have not tried to sell the product first and then build it. I started building immediately since I felt passionate about developing an inventory management application. (which I know isn't the best approach but I wanted to see if someone else would be interested in giving it a go)
