Looking for a technical person who nerds out on business ideas

I have an idea for an app that helps sellers in a niche marketplace sell more of their digital products.

Being only semi-technical, I'm looking to have a chat with someone who has experience building apps on top of platforms, like Shopify or Etsy.

Anyone with this background looking to hop on a call?

It'll be helpful if you share more:

    • what type of partnership are you looking for? cofounder? contractor?
    • what is your role in this project?
    • what problem are you trying to solve for?

I'd say cofounder is best for this project.

My role is marketing. This marketplace I'm targeting is for people in the profession that I am in. I can speak with them, and create the content for the product.

Although I do have a specific problem to solve for - which came from complaints that members in an online community shared, this marketplace doesn't have a single tool built for it. I believe it is very ripe for a dev/marketer team to provide value to a ton of hungry marketplace sellers.

Let me know if you want to know more, or just hit me up via Twitter.

your post looks like "you are looking for someone to build you a tool to make your job easier for free" :)

Hey Petrovn, thanks for your honesty. I guess when you're looking for a technical cofounder it's hard to write a post that doesn't appear like that : )

I was really looking to speak with technical people to better understand the problem from a technical point of view. Happily, someone reached out via Twitter for a nice chat - appreciate that person, and your comment.

A bit more information about what you want to build, how you can make money from it and why you are the person that can do it will help.
Usually a list of potential customers already subscribed to the idea, access to a big audience or industry connections is the way to start with before you ask someone to build something for free.
But if it is something small and simple it is way easier to find someone to help.
