I redesigned my Mini-Journal app

This was one of my first apps and I wanted to see how my improved design skills would translate over. I am liking the new look but would love feedback and what I can improve/add. :)

Also relaunched on PH in case you would like to support and throw me an upvote :)

    Looks nice! Clean and simple.

Is this site just to show off your skills, or is the public meant to use it? Because I don't see any place for signup or account creation.

Thanks - the data is stored in your browser so you can use it without needing to sign up. It's not a permanent data store but if there is demand for people to look back to see their history and have access on multiple devices I might build a backend out.

Do you use this app yourself and just keep the data stored in the browser? That feels really weird to me.

I do. It's mainly for small notes throughout the day and journaling. Nothing I need to keep permanently but maybe that's just me.

Got it. For me I don't think I would use something unless I could keep a permanent record of it somewhere. Looks nice though!

Btw, my wife's from Seattle – great city. We usually go up to visit every summer.

Yeah that's fair. Who knows maybe I will build it out if I get enough traction.

Nice - best (and only) time to visit. :)

    Really straightforward. Love it.

The reset button was not super clear to be at the top. Tooltip might be helpful for others.
A note about saving might be helpful too, even if it is just in browser session.

Thanks! Good ideas. Added em. :)

I like the clean layout too. Keeps things simple so you can focus on what's important: expressing your thoughts

But I'm with Steven. I'd need to store my journal entries somewhere as I like to reference them sometimes and see how I've grown, struggled, etc.

    Thank you for sharing!
